Job Description: Ensures effective operation of washing/ drying machine. Keeps track of all chemical usage for machine. He/She should maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping departmental policies and the hotel's procedures/standards. Additionally, maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hours of work:
  • A shift – 9 am to 5:30 pm
  • B shift – 2 pm to 10:30 pm
• Must be physically Fit and have the ability to bend, stoop, and lift.
• Must be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays
• Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily. All keys must be signed for in the key sign-out log.
• Inspect all linen/terry that is being washed.
• Responsible for maintaining washer/dryer.
• Responsible for keeping up to date logs for chemicals and lint.
• Washers/ dryers should be wiped off each day during each shift.
• Dryers should be cleaned four times/ day. Lint removed from filters quickens drying time, prevents fires and saves energy.
